Five luxury hotels in Sinai, and who they suit.
Sinai has more to offer than one beach. Sharm El Sheikh sits beside a desert and mountain coast; further north, Taba and Dahab feel completely different.

This is a research guide. We use hotel and published sources, we have not stayed at every hotel, and we do not make up ratings.
1. Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh
Opened May 2002; 289 rooms, chalets and suites. Two funiculars carry guests from the hillside to the beach. About 10 minutes from Sharm El Sheikh airport. Surroundings, per the resort: about 60 minutes to Ras Mohamed Nature Reserve and about 160 minutes to St. Catherine's Monastery.
2. Steigenberger Alcazar
584 rooms and suites across six clusters. Over 30,000 m2 of private beach, per a December 2024 magazine review. Royal Suite: 141 m2 with a private terrace and pool.
3. Savoy Sharm El Sheikh
Tripadvisor listing showed 4.7 of 5 from 12,296 reviews and a Travellers' Choice badge when we checked. Platform scores change, so check the current figure.
No openly licensed photo of this hotel was available, so we show none rather than a substitute.
4. Movenpick Resort Taba
424 rooms, a 400 m private beach and three pools, one indoor and heated. Views toward Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The operator posted renovation closures (a restaurant and the pool), so check your dates. Good to know, per Accor: check-in from 2 pm, check-out by 12 noon, pets not allowed.

5. Safir Dahab
The operator describes a five-star resort on a sheltered lagoon on the edge of Dahab. 159 rooms, beachfront. Dahab is more relaxed and bohemian than Sharm, so this is the quietest pick.
